Queens hospital – Burton Upon Trent have partnered with Heathfield LED on an ongoing project rollout across the whole site. After initially trialling a range of manufacturer products the Trust chose Heathfield LED products due to the product stability, correct colour rendering and the ability to boast numerous other NHS trusts that we have ongoing project work with.
The hospital has already completed the switch to LED lighting in the following areas:Complete switch in Orthopaedic to include 3 operating theatres and recovery area
- Coronary care unit
- First floor reception
A mix of products have been installed to achieve the correct lighting levels that include Oak LED 600×600 Panels, Yew LED Tubes, Sycamore LED Downlights, LED floodlights, LED Corn lamps, LED MR16 and GU10, LED Wallpacks, LED 2G11 Lamps and our Willow 5ft twin IP65 non-corrosive LED batten fittings. The first floor reception underwent a complete makeover that included a “daylight” effect LED panel arrangement where images of clouds and blue sky were printed onto the panel to create the feeling of a natural sky light due to the lack of natural daylight in that area. The ongoing project has shown significant energy savings already to aid in the trusts carbon reduction commitment and also reduced maintenance costs considerably.
